Our Mission

To provide a robust schedule of engaging events and activities including continuing education sessions, networking and collaborative opportunities, and unique discussions regarding the organizing and productivity profession to engage members and business partners, encourage participation, and support the chapter vision.

Our History

NAPO Houston originated as Houston Professional Organizers (HPO), and was the City of Houston's first group of its kind, consisting of 19 Organizers. The first official meeting was held in 1998.

In 2002, HPO joined with the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) to become the 13th Chapter nationwide and the first in Texas. Since joining NAPO National, the Houston Chapter has grown into a successful organization with a strong presence in the community. Nationally, the chapter was honored with the prestigious Chapter of the Year award in both 2013 and 2021.

NAPO National and the Houston Chapter offer information, programs, and education for consumers, professional organizers and productivity consultants, and those interested in a career in the organizing industry. Additionally, NAPO Houston provides community service to local non-profits. The Houston Success, Shield Bearer, Ronald McDonald House, Career Gear, Magpies & Peacocks and others to provide volunteers to help create order and efficiency for these charities.

Governance and Bylaws

NAPO Houston is governed by a Board of Directors elected annually by our membership of professional organizers, productivity consultants, and business partners.
