CPO® Recertification

After earning your initial Certified Professional Organizer® (CPO®) credential, recertification is required every three (3) years in order to maintain your CPO status.

There are two options for recertification; one must be completed prior to your recertification date. The first is by earning 45 or more eligible Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The second is by scheduling and passing the CPO exam. In either case, you must also submit an application for recertification, including asserting to continued practice as a professional organizer and abiding by the Board Certified Professional Organizer® (BCPO®) Code of Ethics.

Please note that you must be current on your Annual Maintenance Fees to be eligible for recertification. You can refer to the BCPO Handbook for additional information regarding recertification requirements.
