6-4: Connecting the Dots: Organizing Clients with ADHD by Working with Executive Functions Erin Morper
Mind & Behavior GENERAL Why is getting and staying organized with ADHD so hard? In this session, we’re going to take a deep dive into the executive functions related to ADHD and examine the connections that make each client different. This session is for those who work with clients who have ADHD (or you have it yourself), knowing why things break down where they do in your work together, and want to know how to successfully get going again. Session Objectives:
Erin Morper
Erin Morper started her organizing business in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2013, the same year she joined NAPO. After contracting with a state-funded program working with clients who had experienced traumatic brain injury, Erin decided to address her own brain health and was diagnosed with ADHD. Erin's diagnosis led her to start specializing in working with clients who also have ADHD. She is a member of the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD), Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), and The Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) and serves as the Director of Membership for the NAPO Austin chapter. She currently lives in Austin, TX with her partner for life, their two dogs, Wilbur and Zoe, and a cat named Khaleesi.
