Teaching Time Management on the Fly

NAPO Virtual: Teaching Time Management on the FlyEvent Info

We all know the value of good time management. But what about our clients? They have hired us to organize, but many of them also need some help with time management.

A chaotic mind represents itself in a cluttered environment, but also in a chaotic schedule. It's difficult to improve a client's organization and have it last if they're lacking in time management skills. So, time management is crucial for them to maintain the organizing work you have spent so much time setting up.

This class will answer these 2 questions:

  • How can you teach clients time management while still meeting their organizing needs?
  • What methods really work to transfer some of those vital skills to your clients?

Jenny will outline a simple process she uses to teach skills, help them apply time management, and stay accountable. In the discussion, she will talk about saying YES to yourself by saying NO to other things. This is helpful for clients and organizers alike!

We all want our clients to succeed and our results to stick. Transferring time management skills to our clients is the best way to achieve this crucial life skill and see them succeed!

Presenter: Jenny Morin

Early in life, Time Coach & author Jenny Morin learned the value of hard work and setting goals. She has progressed from a shy girl with pigtails on a small Maine farm to a college graduate (in Communications) and now a business owner. That early training on the farm shaped her life; she realized she didn’t want to weed veggies for the rest of her life!

She now is a self-made woman as president of Efficient Spaces Organizing and Time Services (2008). After joining a networking group in 2011, Jenny had to overcome her shyness and eventually caught the speaking "bug." Life is full of surprises!

Jenny is the author of Get Organized Quick, a succinct & helpful book with hundreds of tips for organizing everyday life. Member of NAPO since 2008.

Credentials: Time certification; 2013 (Julie Morgenstern Enterprises). Online Teaching for Educators certificate 2023 (U of British Columbia). Executive coach in training (Coach U).
