This is both an informative presentation and experiential mini-workshop that helps organization professionals to better understand the function of shame in the human psyche and guides participants in their own internal process for dispelling shame that
they may be holding them back in their own lives and careers as organizers.

Dr. Alina Yurkovsky
Dr. Alina Yurkovsky is a clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist who uses a variety of methods to help people free themselves from habitual thought patterns and behaviors that may be limiting their own joy, health and success. She obtained her doctorate
in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University in New York City in 2005. Since then, she has gained specialized training and experience in treating anxiety disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, addictions and self-harming
behaviors. Dr. Yurkovsky is trained in Hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR and a host of other modalities. Although she is trained in evidence-based psychological treatment modalities, she deeply believes in the art of psychotherapy,
the use of humor, intuition and the strength of interpersonal bonds with her clients to help people achieve the changes they would like to experience in treatment.
