NAPO Virtual: Explosive Growth: Lessons to Impact Your Business and Life

NAPO Virtual: Explosive Growth: Lessons to Impact Your Business and LifeEvent Info

All businesses are impacted by life’s unexpected events. Covid. Theft. Death. Fraud. Fire. And sometimes handcuffs as Laura will admit.

You and your business are not immune from these events.

Laura never expected to wake up one morning to find that she was being put in handcuffs by the FBI only to wonder— would she still have a business when the nightmare was over? The answer was YES; thanks to one very simple thing she never neglected.

Fast forward seventeen years later and Laura was faced with an equally scary event which she was not only prepared for, but didn’t have to stress about the daily needs of her business, all because of the systems she’s created over the years.

Laura will share first-hand how she has used her organizational skills to overcome many of life’s unexpected events and grow a one-person business to a thriving business with a team.

Are YOU ready for life's unexpected events? Is your business ready for an unexpected event? Don't let your business be impacted by things you can easily prevent. Discover how you can successfully navigate life’s unexpected events by leveraging technology and creating systems that will serve you today and those you love – for years to come.

Presentation Goals

Understand what systems are so important in times of unexpected business and life events and what you need to ensure you have in place; for example, owning your website, backups, passwords and more. Files stored in one location have advantages. Access to passwords and important information is a life-saver and stress-reducer. Being organized and having systems will pay off when you least expect it. Know why you should NEVER say "Never" and why you should not let others tell you what's not possible.

Presenter: Laura Leist

Laura Leist is the go-to source for productivity solutions and sustainable organization. Laura helps high-performing people enhance their productivity and organize their lives.

Laura has mastered these techniques through an education in management information systems and trading chaos for productivity for professionals and executives.

Laura’s strategies are a combination of years of business process consulting and project management and she’s crafted strategies down to a science, but make them accessible and flexible enough to be customized to any situation. Even yours.

Laura is considered a thought-leader in the organizing and productivity industry; having coined “digital organizing” in 2001 – and she is also a past president of NAPO – National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals.

Laura and her husband Rob were married on the well-ordered date of 9-10-11 in Maui — their favorite place to travel. Laura and Rob’s children have four paws and they are building a vacation home in Eastern WA wine country, where their vineyard grows grapes.

Today, you will hear the story of how Laura turned her “organizing” gifts into survival after just founding Eliminate Chaos and how the lessons she learned she has used to help guide her clients over two decades of running their businesses.

Laura’s hope is that you will leave with some take-aways that will also impact your business.
