Lis McKinley
It began one day in 2008 after a bottle of antiperspirant fell on her head. Having just left her corporate job at the age of 49, Lis found herself needing to keep busy and accidentally discovered the power of getting organized in her own bathroom. What
followed was the launching of LET'S MAKE ROOM.
Now, more than 15 years later, a veteran organizer, entrepreneur and certified coach, Lis and her expert crew have organized, downsized, decluttered and helped hundreds of families, homeowners and seniors find more room in their lives for what matters
most to them.
Lis earned her Board Certification as a professional organizer in 2011 and is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, National Association of Specialty and Senior Move Managers and the International Coaching
Federation. As a recognized public speaker on home organizing, move management for seniors and personal productivity, Lis has delivered her engaging and highly informative talks throughout the San Francisco/Bay Area and beyond.
Trained as a marriage and family therapist, Lis holds a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from John F. Kennedy University and is a graduate of the Coach Approach Credentialing and Training program which prepares those in the fields of organizing,
mental health and education to receive their accredited certifications as professional coaches.
Lis, a native of New York City, lives in Oakland, California with her husband, Mason, and their two pets, Sadie, a deaf senior cat and their singing Chihuahua named Honey.
