Driving Client Success through Optimized Team Productivity

Do you wish you were better equipped to help your clients improve their team productivity?  Have you pondered the disconnect between the boss who wants the team to perform better, yet doesn’t understand how leadership behavior impacts team performance?  Have you imagined how much more profitable a business could be with proper focus and implementable processes?
In this advanced pre-conference workshop attendees will gain knowledge and skills that will help them help their clients improve team effectiveness and productivity. Learning will be both instructive and experiential; theory will be followed with case study applications. Our focus will be on creating cultures of success, team communication and dynamics, and planning tools and implementation.
While this curriculum focuses on enhancing the Productivity Consultant’s and Professional Organizer’s skills in helping clients function as more effective team leaders and team members, content is equally valuable to those leading teams in both the volunteer and multi-person business environments.

Module 1 Title: Leading Teams for Optimized Productivity
Learning Objectives: At the completion of this module, attendees will be able to…
1. Explain the impact of leadership behavior on team effectiveness and apply key leadership principles to client situations.
2. Identify characteristics and behaviors of successful teams and understand how to recognize opportunities for improvement.
3. Apply advanced communication skills to support client success and identify when to utilize them.
4. Assess conflict management techniques for successful conflict navigation.
5. Summarize the intersection of neuroscience and leadership theory and determine how to leverage it to improve peak performance.

Module 2 Title: Planning and Communicating for Optimized Productivity
Learning Objectives: At the completion of this module, attendees will be able to…
1. Differentiate among various planning tools (i.e. mission/vision statements, goals, initiatives, best practices, processes, and procedures) and understand their application in the productive workplace.
2. Apply communication techniques to support delivery and implementation of planning tools (i.e. mission/vision statements, goals, initiatives, best practices, processes, and procedures). 
3. Utilize delegation and accountability techniques to help clients successfully integrate new systems. 
4. Summarize features of various temperament assessment tools and take a deep dive into one tool to exemplify how to support a team in resolving productivity challenges.
5. Compare elements of different technology tools that support team effectiveness.  

 

 


Ellen Faye

Ellen Faye is a Certified Professional Organizer, a Certified Organizing Coach, and entrepreneur who has had her own successful organizing and productivity company since 2001.  Focusing on leveraging her client’s strengths, goals, and values she supports them in developing and implementing systems, processes, and environments that enable them to thrive.  With a background in coaching, business management, organizing, and leadership Ellen uses her experiences and expertise to inspire those she works with to improve their personal productivity by focusing on their leadership effectiveness.

Ellen has been leading teams since high school and has over 35 cumulative years’ experience serving on various Boards of Directors. She served seven terms on the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals National Board of Directors including two as NAPO President. She has chaired two NAPO national conferences and served six years on the Greater Philadelphia Chapter Board. She holds a NAPO Specialist Certificate in Workplace Productivity as well as two ICD certificates of study, and is a member of the 2007 Inaugural Class of Certified Professional Organizers. Additionally, Ellen is a NAPO University instructor and teaches two Leadership Coaching courses for Coach Approach for Organizers.
