NAPO offers two membership types: individual and corporate associate.

*Industry Members with Employees, Employees of Industry Members and Emeritus Members cannot join or renew online at this time. Each is required to complete and submit a paper application to NAPO HQ.

NAPO offers four individual membership types—Industry Member – Provisional Member, Industry Member, Employee of Industry Member and Emeritus membership.

Industry Member - Provisional

You can join NAPO as an Industry Member - Provisional Member if you are an individual who has been doing business primarily in the field of professional organizing services for less than one year. In addition to other NAPO benefits, Industry Member - Provisional Members receive a moderated listserv dedicated to first-year members' questions and concerns, plus valuable discounts on professional development, including 10 percent off the Industry Member rate for the annual conference and 10 percent off the Industry Member rate for one introductory 100-level NAPO course, to be used in the Industry Member - Provisional Membership year.

Industry Member - Provisional Member dues are $205, plus a one-time $25 processing fee.

Industry Member

You can become an Industry Member* if you are an individual who has either completed your Industry Member - Provisional Membership year or already have more than one year of experience doing business primarily in the field of professional organizing services. In addition to other NAPO benefits, Industry Members are listed in the Professional Organizer Directory, participate in product development research, are entitled to voting privileges, and may hold office and serve on the Board of Directors.

Industry membership is offered at two levels:

Dues include a one-time $25 processing fee (if not paid earlier through an Industry Member - Provisional Membership).

NOTE: Individuals who are interested in Level 2 Industry Membership (Industry Member with employees), are required to complete and submit a paper application for themselves and their employees to NAPO HQ for processing.

*To join as an Industry Member, you must submit via email to napo@napo.net, via fax to 856/439-0525, or by mail one of the following forms of documentation. All documents must include your business or employer's name and a date that is at least one year prior to your application. Your Professional Organizer Directory listing will not be available until this documentation is verified by NAPO (approximately one business day from receipt):

Employee of Industry Member

You can become an Employee of Industry Member if you are an individual who is currently employed by an Industry Member to do business primarily in the field of professional organizing services. Individual employees are not able to purchase this level of membership themselves, but are required to do so through the Industry Member with whom they are employed. The membership will be “owned” by the Industry member. In addition to other NAPO benefits, Employee of Industry Members will receive valuable discounts on professional development, including 10 percent off the Industry Member rate for the annual conference and 10 percent off the Industry Member rate for NAPO courses. Dues for this level of membership are as follows:

Dues include a one-time $25 processing fee (if not paid previously through employers' Industry membership).

Level 2 Industry Members (i.e. employers) are required to submit a copy of a W2 form for each employee, seeking Employee of Industry Member membership, with their application.

Emeritus Member

You can become an Emeritus Member if you are an individual who has retired from employment in the field of professional organizing services. Candidates must be at least 55 years of age and must have been a NAPO member for a total of 15 consecutive years. Emeritus Members will continue to receive the valuable benefits of NAPO membership at a significantly discounted rate.

Emeritus Member dues are $50 annually. The $25 processing fee will not be required for this level of membership.

NOTE: Individuals who are interested in Emeritus Membership are required to complete and submit a paper application to NAPO HQ for processing.

Corporate Associate Membership

Companies involved in the manufacture, distribution, or sale of organizing products and services may join NAPO as Corporate Associate Members, Corporate Partners, or Premier Corporate Partners. One Corporate Associate Membership is included in the Corporate Partner and Premier Corporate Partner programs.

The cost of Corporate Associate Membership is $625 annually, based on the calendar year. First-year dues are prorated based on the number of full months remaining in that calendar year. A Corporate Associate Member company shall designate one person as the NAPO representative.

It is the policy of NAPO that membership dues are nonrefundable. Any requests for exceptions to this policy must be submitted in writing for consideration by NAPO and will be decided on a case-by-case basis.
