Awards
NAPO bestows a number of awards each year to recognize achievements in the organization and the industry. They include:
Corporate Associate Member of the Year Award
The Corporate Associate Member of the Year Award is presented to a Corporate Associate Member who has made a significant contribution to NAPO and the profession of organizing. The Corporate Associate Member Committee Chair recommends the recipient of this award to the Executive Committee in February. If a recipient is nominated and approved, the NAPO Board President presents the award at the NAPO Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition.
Founders' Award
In the spirit of the original five founders of NAPO, the Founders’ Award is presented to a member or group of members acting in concert whose outstanding contributions have helped move the organizing profession forward. Through the Founders’ Award, the association says it admires and respects the recipients’ professionalism and achievements and is proud to have them as industry colleagues.
Organizing Excellence Award
The Organizing Excellence Award is presented to an individual or group that has demonstrated outstanding values and achieved measurable results through their organizational efforts. This award stresses achievement tied directly to organizational capability. The search for worthy recipients is conducted in the host city of the NAPO Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition and encompasses the following categories: Business, Community Service, Education, Family, or Humanitarian.
Organizers' Choice Award
Organizers’ Choice Awards are presented to an exhibitor at the annual conference in each of the following categories:
- Best Service
- Best Product – Business
- Best Product – Residential
- Best Product – Technology
All conference attendees are asked to vote on these award categories when visiting the Exposition. The awards are presented at the annual conference by the Exposition Committee Chair.
President's Award
The President's Award is presented to a member for outstanding contributions to NAPO. It traditionally highlights a significant contribution that has benefited NAPO and the general membership.
Special Award
The Special Award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to NAPO or the organizing industry not described under other award categories. This award is not necessarily part of the customary annual awards and may be given a specific name related to the recipient’s contribution.
