2-2: Delivering Experiential Workshops for Success!

Ellen Faye
Experiential
General

The best way to learn how to create and deliver an experiential workshop is to participate in an experiential workshop.  In this session you will learn exactly what an experiential workshop is and how to most effectively design and present one.  We will also explore how to integrate experiential workshop components into your existing programs. Our “experiential experience” will be creating your very own success formula.  We will explore what success means to you based on your own needs, values, motivations and life situation all while having fun creating your success formula.

Session Objectives:
After attending this session, participants should be able to:
1. Understand what an Experiential Workshop is and “experience” the benefits of participating in this type of program.
2. Integrate Experiential learning components into existing and future workshops
3. Gain insight into their own needs, values, and motivations and relate them to their personal and professional goals.
4. Create their Very Own Success Formula

How will you engage the audience?

The session will be divided between:
•    Content delivery (less than 30% of the time will be conceptual)
•    Small group/partner/triad work
•     Individual work – journaling exercises, personal contemplation and creative exercises

How will your submission be relevant to the organizing and productivity profession?
Make your training programs and client work more effective by integrating experiential learning.  Additionally, our “success formula” experience will support you in gaining clarity about what is most important and how you can move forward to integrate your personal needs, values, motivations, and life situation into your business plan.

Ellen Faye CPO®, COC® is a 17 year NAPO member, former NAPO President, and fierce advocate of empowering each and every individual to define success on their own terms. After a 15 year career in hospitality management where an average work week was 90+ hours and the pay was NOT commensurate, Ellen decided it was time to work for herself. She luckily discovered NAPO and our dynamic profession that affords limitless possibilities for success. Ellen launched her organizing business in 2001. With two young children she consciously chose our profession as it gave her the flexibility to equally prioritize her career and family.  Beginning as a residential generalist, evolving to small business specialist, and then productivity coach, Ellen now calls herself a Productivity Leadership Coach. She loves that NAPO provides the support to grow, evolve, and never stop learning and believes that because of NAPO she is able to live according to her very own success formula. Ellen has presented numerous times for NAPO chapters, conferences, and leadership forums. She frequently presents to businesses and organizations on organizing, productivity, and leadership topics. Ellen is delighted to be presenting at NAPO2018 and supporting you to create YOUR very own success formula.
