Governance
NAPO is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1985 by Beverly Clower, Stephanie Culp, Ann Gambrell, Maxine Ordesky, and Jeanie Shorr.
NAPO's mission is to lead and advance the organizing and productivity industry. NAPO currently has about 4,200 members throughout the U.S. and in 12 other countries.
Each spring NAPO holds an Annual Conference and Organizing Exposition in a different location in the United States.
NAPO is governed by a Board of Directors supported by more than 15 volunteer Committees. The Board of Directors meets once each quarter.
NAPO currently has 35 local Chapters throughout the United States that meet regularly in their own areas. Chapter membership is voluntary and contingent upon national membership (for individual members). In addition to the existing chapters, NAPO has several Chapters-In-Formation.
