
About the Scholarship
The Barry Izsak/Glorya Schklair Conference Scholarship Fund directly supports the educational mission of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) by providing access to the educational experience of conference for the benefit of Industry Members who otherwise may not be able to attend due to financial or other extenuating circumstances. This fund was endowed through the generosity of Barry Izsak, NAPO President 2003-2007.

- Applicant must be a current NAPO Industry Member for a minimum of 12 consecutive months by the date application is submitted.
- Applicant must demonstrate circumstances (financial or otherwise) that would make it difficult for her/him to pay for a conference registration. Please provide as much information as possible.
- Applicant should demonstrate a commitment to advancing NAPO and/or the organizing and productivity profession on the local or national level.
- A completed application, including signed Acceptance of Application Terms form (download PDF application)
- The submission of three (3) letters of recommendation from clients, professional colleagues or other persons with significant knowledge of applicant's professional expertise and commitment.
- The submission of a personal essay of 400 words or less expressing why she/he is a deserving candidate, has financial need and should be considered for this year's scholarship.
Applicants must submit the following items via email, US mail or overnight service, postmarked on or before August 16, 2013 (no exceptions):
- Completed application form.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation from clients, professional colleagues or other persons with significant knowledge of applicant's professional expertise and commitment.
- A personal essay of 400 words or less expressing why she/he is a deserving candidate, has financial need and should be considered for this year's scholarship.
- Applicant must agree to a personal interview with a member of the Awards selection committee via telephone, if requested.

Scholarship applications for NAPO2014 will be accepted until Friday, August 16, 2013. Incomplete applications or applications postmarked after the deadline will not be considered. (Sorry, no exceptions).
